If it’s personal improvement you want, but you don’t enjoy the sterile environment of a psychiatrist’s office, than a life coach may be for you.
C.J. Cangianelli operates Thrive: A Modern Approach to Personal Improvement and is the area’s first and only life coach.
“Life coaching is anticipated to replace traditional therapy due to its convenience, focus, and flexibility,” said Cangianelli.
Cangianelli is available for clients in Allegany, Mineral, and Bedford counties.
“I created my business to help men, women, children, and families live happier lives. People deserve to feel valued, respected, and connected to others,” said Cangianelli.
As a life coach Cangianelli offers individualized plans and can help clients to set goals, simplify their lives, manage stress, evaluate priorities, make healthier choices, improve self-esteem, improve relationships and much more.
Cangianelli offers unique and creative approaches and will not tell a client what to do but instead will provide support throughout the situation and will provide follow up to determine if the strategy was a success.
Cangianelli is willing to schedule appointments on days, evenings, or even weekends and is available for appointments via phone and email for clients who live elsewhere.
As opposed to a psychiatrist, Cangianelli is willing to travel semi-weekly to a client’s home, office, or a neutral meeting place.
“Information shared in the life coaching relationship is confidential. However, abuse, neglect or criminal activities will be reported,” said Cangianelli. “If life coaching is not for you, I will refer you to another service.”
Although there is no official regulatory standard for life coaching and no governed education or training standard for the life coaching industry, Cangianelli has the experience necessary when assisting clients.
Cangianelli, who is currently a Behavior Specialist Consultant, has had 18 years of experience. She helps children ages four to 21 with behavioral problems to make better choice and helps to support families with being consistent in providing their children with rewards and consequences.
Cangianelli obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Master of Education from Frostburg State University.
“You’ve only got one life — make it fantastic,” said Cangianelli. “I look forward to helping you live an improved, enriched life.”
