Valerie Dawn Weimer and Thomas Eugene Gorman Jr. were united in Marriage on June 16, 2007 at Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Assembly in Keyser with Pastor Donna Leatherman officating .
Valerie is the daughter of Craig Weimer of Keyser and Vivian and James Malcolm of Burlington. Valerie is a 1998 graduate of Keyser High School and a 2003 graduate of West Virginia University. She is currentlym employed with MountainHeart Community Resources as a case manager.
Thomas is the son of Thomas and Denise Gorman of Falling Waters, WV. Thomas is a 1999 graduate of Hedgesville High School. He is currently employed with the Berkeley County Emergency Ambulance Authority, The Berkeley County Office of Emergency Services and a member at Bedington Volunteer Fire Department.
The Bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore a strapless A-line floor length dress with a chapel-length train. Lace enhanced the bodice and a bow accented the waisteline. She carried a bouquet of dark purple, light purple, and white lilacs accented with white roses and light blue flowers.
The groom wore a black tuxedo with a white shirt, vest and tie, and a
boutonniere of a white lilac and blue accent flower.
Maid of Honor was Johanna Mitchell of Martinsburg. She wore a 2 piece
flower length halter top dress in buttercup with a bow accenting the waisteline to mimic the bride. She carried a bouquet of light purple lilacs and light pink and white roses. The bridesmaids were Gina Files and Jodi Simmons of Cumberland MD, and Michelle Pentz and Kathryn Vance of Martinsburg. The bridesmaid wore a two piece floor length halter dress in buttercup. They carried bouquets of dark purple lilacs, yellow roses and their favorite flower in pink.
The Best man was Andrew Dehaven of Martinsburg. Groomsmen were Donald Scheuch, Christopher Fincham, William Newcomb, and Christopher Montgomery all of Martinsburg. They wore black tuxedos with buttercup vest and ties. The bestman wore a boutonniere of a light purple lilac with blue accent flowers. The groomsmen wore boutonnieres of a dark purple lilac with blue accent flowers.
The Flower girl was Kylie Doll, cousin of the bride, who wore a lilac dress with a crown of lilacs and carried a silver pail decorated with lilacs.
The Ring bearer was Jordan Ware, nephew of the groom, who wore a black tuxedo with lilac vest and tie. The rings were carried in the fire department helmet of the groom.
Music was provided by
D & M DJ Service. Photography and videography was done by Keepsake Memories.
The reception was held at the McCoole VFW. The couple shared their first dance to I Melt by Rascal Flatts. A five-tier wedding cake was decorated with purple lilacs and topped with a firefighter and bride cake topper. The cake was created by Dana Keplinger, friend of the bride. Dinner was catered by Fred and Margie Roy.
The couple honeymooned in Ocean City.
They currently reside in Martinsburg.
