Mr. and Mrs. Floyd C. Bender of Cumberland, Md. are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lucinda “Cindy” Joy Bender to Eric Russell Veach of Burlington. Eric is the son of Janelle Lynn Veach of Burlington and Orlis Allen Veach Jr. of Romney, W.Va.

Cindy is enrolled at Allegany College of Maryland and is pursuing a degree in Therapeutic Massage and currently works as a GNA.

Eric is a 2003 graduate of Potomac State College with an associate of arts in criminal justice law enforcement and is currently employed as a police officer by West Virginia University.  Eric will be attending the West Virginia State Police Academy from June 2008 to October 2008.

A wedding is planned on May 24, 2008.

Formal invitations will be sent.

The couple will reside in Burlington.
