Schneider joins faculty at Potomac State

KEYSER, W.Va. -

Ruth M. Schneider has been named to the faculty at Potomac State College of West Virginia University (WVU) as an instructor in education. 
Schneider earned her master’s degree in behavior disorders from WVU in 1985 and her bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a minor in special education in 1972, also from WVU.
She has served as an adjunct faculty member, a research specialist, a site coordinator, a special education teacher, and as an extension program specialist with the Energy Express program.
Schneider has been responsible for statewide training of site coordinators, has presented at workshops and developed various types of curriculum.  She has been a member of numerous service activities and served on the Board of Directors of the Potomac Center in Romney, W.Va.
Schneider will be responsible for advising the early education, elementary and secondary education students.  She will be teaching the education classes, some child development and family services classes and some sections of University 101
