The United States Air Force announced Thursday that Airman Kelly A. Ryan has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

During the six weeks of training, Airman Ryan studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies, as well as performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.

In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate’s degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Ryan is the daughter of Patricia Ryan of Ridgeley.

She is a 2006 graduate of Frankfort High School in Short Gap.
