Keyser, W.Va. -

KEYSER — Although Santa made a special trip to Keyser on Friday for the Warm the Children Open House, his big entrance in the area is always during the annual Keyser Christmas Parade.
This year is no exception, with the Jolly Old Elf scheduled to arrive during the parade on Friday, Dec. 4.
Mineral County Commissioner and Keyser business owner Cindy Pyles is once again in charge of the parade, and is inviting all clubs, organizations, school groups, church groups, and individuals to participate.
Line-up will begin in South Keyser at 6 p.m. and the parade will move at 7 p.m., taking the traditional route through the downtown and left onto Armstrong Street. The parade will disband in the vicinity of the Keyser Square.
All entries in the parade are once again being asked to not throw candy to the crowd. Instead, candy may be donated for Santa's helpers to throw at the end of the parade. Donations may be dropped off at Main Street Books.
For more information, or to sign up to participate in the parade, call 304-788-3043.
