PETERSBURG - The Keyser High School boys freshman basketball team upped its record to 11-1 with a 51-36 victory over Petersburg on Monday evening.
Peyton Hartman led Keyser with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 steals, while Damon Thorne pulled down a team-high 16 points and had 7 steals.
Dustin Fertig added 8 points and 7 steals.
On Saturday, the Keyser freshmen hosted cross-county rival Frankfort and came away with a 56-48 victory.
Fertig led the Golden Tornado with 16 points and 3 assists, while Hartman added 13 points and 8 rebounds.
Kadeem Garland chipped in with 10 points and 3 steals.
Stephen Kott led Frankfort with 14 points and Aaron Leahman added 12.
The Keyser freshmen will return to action this evening when they travel to take on Mountain Ridge at 6 p.m.
The Frankfort freshmen will host Southern at 7 p.m. tonight.
