Frostburg, Md. -

The Department of Theatre and Dance at Frostburg State University will present the Spring Dance Concert on Friday, April 4, and Saturday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.

The FSU Dance Company and directors Desiree Witt and Amanda Derezinski will perform original choreography as well as choreography from guest choreographer Scott Cole.

Cole, a former National Aerobic Champion and pioneer and star of “Abs of Steel,” has created programs such as “Get Fit America for Kids” and “Disco Dojo,” which combines martial arts and dance. In the fall of 2007, Cole presented a series of wellness workshops to the FSU campus community.

The concert will also feature tap, hip-hop, modern and lyrical, as well as 1950s-style popular dance and a jazz piece based on the musical “Chicago.”

Tickets for the concert are $5 for students and $10 for the general public.
