KEYSER – A Keyser man is being held at the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail after stabbing another man at a residence on East Piedmont Street early Thursday night.
Harold J. Bosley, 60, is being held on $2,000 bond following the incident, which left an un-named 48-year-old Keyser man with minor stab wounds to his left arm.
Keyser City Police responded at 7:53 p.m. to the call in the 100 block of East Piedmont Street. Officers found the victim lying on a couch inside the residence, bleeding from a wound to his left arm-pit.
Police said Bosley was on a stairway in the house, and refused multiple orders to show his hands and get off the steps. Eventually Bosley relented, and police found he had a hunting knife with a 4-inch blade in a sheath on his belt.
Bosley was taken into custody and charged with malicious wounding/unlawful assault, as well as obstruction for initially refusing to comply with officers' orders.
Police said the victim was treated at Potomac Valley Hospital for non-life threatening wounds.
Police did not identify a motive for the assault, but said the victim reported that the two had been "horsing around" when Bosley pulled the knife and stabbed him.
