  • Earth Zone owners indicted on charges related to synthetic pot

  • KEYSER - The owners of the Earth Zone natural products store have been indicted by the Mineral County Grand Jury with felony offenses for selling synthetic marijuana and bath salts.

    KEYSER - The owners of the Earth Zone natural products store have been indicted by the Mineral County Grand Jury with felony offenses for selling synthetic marijuana “bath salts.”
    John and Tonya Cozatt of Ridgeley were among more than three dozen individuals listed under the Grand Jury indictment released early Tuesday evening.
    Also charged were two brothers accused of robbing several area pharmacies of narcotics.
    John Cozatt was charged with five counts of delivery of a controlled substance, and two counts of accessory to delivery of a controlled substance. All of the offenses are felonies.
    Tonya Cozatt was charged with seven felony counts of accessory to delivery of a controlled substance.
    The offenses date to October and December of 2011.
    Also charged under the Grand Jury indictment list were Stephen Mayhew Jr. and Dulin J. Mayhew, who both face felony robbery charges for the robbery of a CVS Pharmacy.
    Other indictments include:
    • Jason A. Dunn of Keyser, felony child abuse resulting in injury. The victim was a 13-year-old male.
    • Nathaniel Allen Heavner of Keyser, attempting to obtain a controlled substance through misrepresentation, a felony.
    • Jeffrey L. Talbert, currently held at the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail, charged with felony breaking and entering of Wayne's Meat Market this October.
    • Tyler C. King, at the regional jail, accused of attempting to operate a clandestine methamphetamine lab, exposing children to a meth lab, possession of meth-manufacturing chemicals, and conspiracy -- all felonies.
    • Kristina N. McKone, at the regional jail, charged with possession of substances used in the manufacture of methamphetamine and exposing children to a meth lab, both felonies.
    • Steven C. Alt of Keyser, failure to provide child support, a felony.
    • Timonty D. Bradley Sr. of Huntington, failure to pay child support, a felony.
    • Robert A. Becker of New Creek, three counts of cruelty to animals involving three kittens, all felony offenses.
    • Joseph C. Chesterfield, at the regional jail, charged with felony domestic battery.
    • Kenneth R. Henderson of New Creek, charged with bringing stolen property into the state, a felony, and felony conspiracy.
    • Jeremy A. Mongold of New Creek, felony conspiracy and bringing stolen property into the state.
    • Alicia D. Lucas of Elk Garden: Felony conspiracy and bringing stolen property into the state, and malicious wounding, also a felony.
    • Brian K. Kerns of Ridgeley: Manufacturing a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, both felonies.

    • Clinton J. Barnes, at the regional jail, felony breaking and entering.
    • Neil E. Bauer of Keyser: Manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, both felonies.
    • Clinton E. Crawford of New Creek: Possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony.
    • Daniel L. Kesner of Keyser: Soliciting a minor via computer, a felony.
    • Paul F. Mattes of Keyser: Wanton endangerment involving a firearm, a felony.
    • Kenneth W. Herman of Moorefield: Manufacturing a controlled substance and grand larceny, both felonies.
    • Robert Lee Suter II of Keyser: Felony third offense domestic battery.
    • Curis L. Hamilton Jr. at the regional jail: Failure to register as a sex offender.
    • Ronald C. Mueller Jr. at the regional jail: Felony burglary.
    • Dawn D. Griffin of Elk Garden: Felony conspiracy and delivery of a controlled substance.
    • Donna Jean Lewis of Terra Alta: Felony uttering and conspiracy, attempted possession of a controlled substance by fraud, and possession of a controlled substance by fraud, both felonies.
    • Michael E. Staggs of Keyser: Failure to pay child support, a felony.
    • Mary M. Keplinger of Ridgeley: Felony embezzlement of Press's Market, from January, 2008 through December, 2008.
    • Tina Marie Mongold of Ridgeley: Felony embezzlement of Press's Market, from January, 2008 through December, 2008.
    • Leon R. Rodenhauser of Cumberland: Felony reckless fleeing in a vehicle, and fleeing in a vehicle causing bodily injury, two felony counts. The offense occurred this October.
    • Jamey A. Tallman at the regional jail: Felony bringing stolen property into the state.
    • Robert W. Dixon of New Creek: Two felony counts of gross neglect of a child, felony child abuse.
    • Jennifer R. Dixon of New Creek: Two felony counts of gross neglect of a child and felony child abuse.
