Annette Favara, chairperson of the Stuff a Truck campaign to collect donations for the victims of Superstorm Sandy in her hometown of Lindenhurst, N.Y., is pictured with the mayor of Lindenhurst and several New York legislators and others as they accepted the truckload of donations from Mineral County and the Tri-Towns area. The campaign was sponsored by St. Peter's Catholic Church of Westernport, and Favara said the outpouring of time, dedication, help, contributions and gifts of love was amazing. "We are truly blessed this Christmas season and this will live in our hearts forever," she said. Among the donations were Christmas gifts, diapers, dog food, clothing, tools, baby food, school supplies, and more, including 500 pounds of hamburger, potato salad, macaroni salad, cole slaw, condiments, and cookies.
