FROSTBURG--The Mountain Ridge High School cheerleading squad, under the direction of Janice Raines, has been selected to perform as part of the half-time show at the Gator Bowl on Jan. 1, 2013, when Northwestern will face Mississippi State in Jacksonville, Fla.
This opportunity has been offered to the group as a voluntary experience that sixteen of the squad members have chosen to participate in.
Participants have held a number of fundraisers as well as extra practices, and with the assistance of local business sponsors, have been successful in raising the necessary funds to take part in the event.
