Jarrett D. Laffey
Jarrett Daniel Laffey, 2, of New Creek, WV, went to be an angel on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland, MD.
Born on August 27, 2007 at Cumberland, MD, he was a son of Gregory Daniel Laffey and Lori Renee Hamilton of New Creek.
Jarrett was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert J. Hamilton and his paternal great-grandparents, Jerome Daniel and Margaret Laffey.
Jarrett was a member of the Church of the Assumption, Keyser. Jarrett faced many obstacles and difficulties with his health from his birth through his first year of life, and even though he endured those trials, he had a strong desire and will to live, and it has been in the last year that he truly came into his own as his Mommy and Daddy's "little man.” He was a loving child with a bubbly and warm personality and his entire family loved him and will miss him so much, but they celebrate the fact that he is now an angel in God's eternal kingdom.
Surviving, in addition to his parents are two brothers, Blake Williams of Keyser and Phillip Laffey, at home; one sister, Cierra Laffey, at home; maternal grandmother, Eula (Creasy) Hamilton of Keyser; paternal grandparents, Jerome Daniel Laffey, Jr. and Janice Marie (Matthews) Laffey of Westernport, MD; two uncles, Bobby Joe Hamilton and companion, Theresa Butler of Keyser and Mark Laffey and wife Jen of Grantsville, MD; two aunts, Ashley Laffey of Crofton, MD and Kelly Laffey of Morgantown, WV and two cousins, Addy and Alex Laffey.
