SHORT GAP—The Keyser and Frankfort boys’ and girls’ cross country teams opened their 2010 seasons by splitting a dual meet in Short Gap on Wednesday afternoon.
Keyser won the boys’ race with 19 points; Frankfort finished with 36.
KHS?took spots one through four: Taven Rohrbaugh won the race in 18:55, followed by Josh Biser (19:54), Canton Whisner (20:14), and Josh Myers (20:16).
Shane Ickes of Frankfort finished fifth (20:34).
In the girls’ race, Frankfort finished with 23 points and Keyser had 32.
Frankfort sophomore Katie Jan won in a time of 21:51.
Hannah Biser of Keyser was second in 23:11, followed by Frankfort runners Sarah Moreland (24:27) and Ashley Noah (25:00).
Keyser’s Sarah Boddy finished fifth in a time of 25:13.
Frankfort runs in the Cabell Midland/GEICO?Invitational this Saturday.
Keyser next competes in the Frankfort Invitational on September 7.
