FORT ASHBY - In an effort to increase awareness of the hazards of drinking and driving, members of the West Virginia State Police will conduct a Sobriety Checkpoint in Mineral County on Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, from 9 p.m. through Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at 3 a.m.
The Sobriety Checkpoint will be conducted in Mineral County, along WV Route 28, in Fort Ashby.
During this Labor Day weekend, the Governor’s Highway Safety Program, in conjunction with the West Virginia State Police, will conduct events and patrols concentrating on the arrest of drunk drivers.
