KEYSER - Hospice of Potomac Valley Hospital is partnering with TS Cellular to provide a day of healthcare education and screening to the community.
On Thursday, Aug 26, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. the staff of Hospice of Potomac Valley Hospital will have an informational display and materials available at the Radio Shack location of TS Cellular in Keyser. An RN will be available to discuss information on various health issues, including hospice care, and will also provide blood pressure screenings.
Pat Droppleman, diabetic educator at Potomac Valley Hospital, will be there from 10 a.m.-noon to offer blood sugar screenings.
TS Cellular will be providing 10 percent off any cell phone accessory to any customers who stop by and participate in the screenings.
Hospice of Potomac Valley Hospital endeavors to help educate the community about current health topics. They have been providing hospice care to Mineral County residents for the past 15 years. They are comprised of local caring staff who are on call 24 hours a day seven day a week .
