Phyllis C. Bowman
Phyllis C. Bowman, 68, of Route 5, Keyser, W.Va., died Thursday, Feb, 4, 2010, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland, Md.
Born on Nov. 3, 1941, at Hutton, Md., she was a daughter of the late Joseph Earl and Edna Mae (Wilmoth) Gank. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Norma White; and two brothers, Forrest Kalar and Basil Gank.
Mrs. Bowman was retired as head cook at the Potomac Motel and Restaurant with 35 years of service. She attended the Bonnieview Apostolic Chapel, Keyser.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Michael R. Bowman; two sons, Carlton R. Bowman and Vincent D. Bowman; one daughter, Selenna L. Bowman, all of Keyser; one brother, Nathan Gank of Aurora, Va.; one sister, Carol Twyman of Piedmont, W.Va.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Monday, Feb. 7, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2010, one hour prior to the service.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2010, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Pete Miller officiating.
Interment will be in the Queen's Point Cemetery, Keyser, W.Va..
