LUKE, Md.– As part of NewPage Corporation’s “Return to Sustainable Profitability” initiative, the Luke mill announced to its employees today that it will be reducing its workforce by approximately 10 percent.
This action will affect both hourly and salaried employees. The affected positions will be announced on or before Aug. 2, and the majority of the reductions will take place by the end of the year.
